1940 Cessna Airmaster, owned by Ken Coe, Ragtime Aero recovered everything except the fuselage. Aircraft was previously owned by the CAA.

1930 C3R Stearman also called a Business Speedster. Owned by Bill Allen. Aircraft original restoration by Garth Carrier, Ragtime Aero recovered and repainted.

1942 Howard DGA 15P owned by Rick and Sunny of Ragtime Aero. Rick acquired 2 full airplanes in boxes, built one and sold the other to Ken McFarland. Both airplanes lived at the same airport for many years flying together. It took Rick 3 years in his spare time, which he had back then, Sunny came into the picture a month before it was to fly. We flew it from the tip of Baja to the Artic Circle. It was our family wagon and loved to camp in the back country of Idaho. It is now owned and loved by Craig Bair of York Nebraska. And it is on Ragtime’s schedule to be rebuilt.

1930 Stinson Jr. SM8A owned by George Fred Alleman. Ragtime Aero Covered and painted aircraft. In 2003 Fred and Rick participated in the recreation of the 1930’s National Air Tour which took them to the sky’s for a month. See more!!Coming Soon

Schlizer Ka6E Glider, major repairs were made to the wings. Ragtime Aero recovered 3 of the same type and made repairs to numerous gliders.

SNJS T-6 restored for Milt Taylor and Lionel Keeton, now owned by Clancy Flannigan. One and only warbird restored by Ragtime Aero.

Aeronica Sedan, owned by the Womack brothers, This was Ragtime Aero’s first project and first experience with poly fiber. Also this aircraft is serial number one. N1000H, A very fun aircraft to fly.


2004 Van’s RV-6 Built in Tuscan AZ, Ragtime Aero struggled with the crazy paint job Sunny insisted on with ghost flames and the metallic 2 coat system. But don’t even ask, Ragtime Aero does not paint metal airplanes, only for his wife sorry! It turned out beautiful and unfortunately had to sell it. It now lives in Honolulu, HI. It was taken apart and shipped over.

1940 Ryan STM-2 Restored for Bill Allen, originally sold to the Dutch Air Force as a trainer and at one time had been on floats.
Pt-17 Stearman, restored for Steve Hamilton. Ragtime Aero recovered aircraft and installed a new engine.

1975 Bellanca Citrabria 7GCA, a ground up restoration for Steve Dehass, Steve was kind enough to allow Sunny to fly for about 50 hours. A great flying airplane.

Stearman 4E, also know as a Bull Stearman, owned by Steve Hamilton. This was Ragtime Aero’s most challenging projects as a great number of parts had to be made by Rick. This open cockpit airplane scoots along at a rapid speed. Rick still is amazed at how fast it goes.

Model E GeeBee Built by Scott Crosby. doping and painting by Ragtime Aero. Rick is honored to say he flew the GeeBee for 30 hours and it flew great. There was an Carbon Monoxide issue because short stacks. And the airplane is very small inside. It sure was fun

Stearman 4E also referred to as a Bull Stearman. Owned by Ben Scott. The history of the aircraft made it an honor for Ragtime Aero to rebuild.

1975 Cessna 185 owned by Rick and Sunny of Ragtime Aero. This aircraft spent most of it life in North Pole, Alaska on Ski’s, when we bought it it had a clear coat that was flaking and peeling off so it was named Scabby Chuck. After rebuilding he didn’t deserve such a name but for us it stuck. Unfortunately Scabby chuck went swimming and it is believed to that he is being restored once again..

1940 Piper J-3 Cub, Ragtime Aero restored this aircraft with Debbie Schmidt in mind. this airplane was her baby. She and Dick are greatly missed.
